A two-storey detached house will be built in Woudenberg. The sun has been taken into account from the very first mass studies. Seven advised where in the home to include which rooms. The morning sun can therefore heat the living room while the bedroom remains cool.
Feature
The position, size and vertical orientation of the windows in combination with the depth of the frames is the result of a study that took into account the view of the surroundings, letting in as much winter solar heat as possible and blocking the summer solar heat. This correct balance prevents excessively high internal temperatures. Sun protection is therefore not necessary, so the view is guaranteed even in the summer.
Building envelope
The facades of the house will have a timber frame construction with wood fiber insulation (Ufacade = 0.120 W/(m2K). The roof will be fitted with flax insulation (Uroof = 0.101 W/(m2K). Excellent insulating Enersign windows (Ufr = 0.63 W/(m2K) in combination with vapour control membranes realize the airtightness of the home (n50designed < 0.6).
Installations
A Zehnder ComfoAir Q350 + ComfoClime 24 provides ventilation, heating and very occasionally cooling. In addition, a bio-ethanol fireplace is provided for heating in the kitchen/living room. Warm water is generated by and stored in a salt battery. With 25 PV panels, the house (including electric car) is energy neutral on an annual basis.
